The Manual Arts facility at Rockhampton State High School provides students with access to modern workshops and industry-standard equipment, creating an engaging environment where practical skills, creativity and problem-solving flourish.
Students have opportunities to design, create and manufacture a range of projects while developing skills in areas such as woodworking, metalworking, engineering and design technologies. Through hands-on learning experiences, students learn to work safely, think critically and apply practical solutions to real-work challenges.
Our Manual Arts programs encourage innovation, teamwork and resilience while fostering confidence in the use of tools, materials and technologies. Students develop valuable skills in planning, designing, constructing and evaluating projects, preparing them for future study, apprenticeships, training and careers in trade, engineering, manufacturing and related industries.
With a strong focus on practical learning and industry-relevant skills, the Manual Arts facility supports students in exploring their interests, discovering career pathways and achieving success both inside and outside the classroom.
