Rockhampton State High School is proud to offer students access to a unique and industry-relevant Aquaculture facility that provides authentic, hand-on learning experiences in one of Australia's growing primary industries.
Our specialised facility enables students to develop practical skills and knowledge in aquatic animal production, sustainability, water quality management, environmental stewardship and industry operations.
Students have the opportunity to engage in practical activities that foster problem-solving, teamwork and technical skills, while exploring career pathways in aquaculture, marine science, environmental management, agriculture and related industries.
As a part of their studies, students can work towards nationally recognised vocational training qualifications, including:
- Certificate I in Aquaculture
- Certificate II in Aquaculture
These qualifications provide valuable industry experience and contribute towards future education, training and employment opportunities.
