Barbara Webster’s The Brown and the Blue: A Centenary History of Rockhampton State High School
As the oldest and largest state secondary school in the area we have a rich and varied history. In the past 100 years our school has had 19 principals, dozens of Deputies and Heads of Department, hundreds of teachers and almost 30 000 students (from a large number of primary schools). Past students have excelled in areas such as the arts, finance, academia and sport. Our school has played an important role in the history of Rockhampton itself. There have been a huge number of successes and milestones; we have much to celebrate!
